Café 333 is a sober jazz bar and small-plates restaurant at 333 Southwest Blvd. in Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District, opened around November 2025 in the former Café Gratitude space. Founded by Coralyn Martin, CEO of the local entertainment company Social Cabaret (which also runs Waldo Supper Club and C.A.S.T.), it serves shareable plates by chef G.A. Murdock and a zero-proof drink program, with live jazz 6–10 p.m. every night it is open. Billed as Kansas City’s first sober jazz bar.

Description

Café 333 is a sober jazz bar and small-plates restaurant at 333 Southwest Boulevard, on the Crossroads Arts District edge of the Southwest Boulevard corridor. It occupies the storefront that housed Café Gratitude, the vegan restaurant that ran there roughly thirteen years; the room’s bones are recognizably the same, now hung with work by local artists. The venue opened around November 2025.12

The operating premise is stated plainly on the first-party site: “a great night out shouldn’t require alcohol.” The bar pours zero-proof cocktails, specialty coffee and tea rather than liquor, and the room is arranged as an intimate listening space — seating close to the stage, acoustics tuned so conversation still works. Live jazz runs 6 to 10 p.m. every night the café is open, Tuesday through Saturday, drawn from Kansas City jazz musicians, vocalists and performers; most nights are walk-in, with occasional ticketed showcase evenings.31

Café 333 was founded by Coralyn Martin, CEO of Social Cabaret and founder of The Recovery Revolution. Martin has been sober seven years and works as a recovery coach; press coverage notes she worked at Café Gratitude before moving to Los Angeles to act, making the address a return. Social Cabaret’s other Kansas City venues run to murder-mystery dinners and ballroom dancing — Café 333 is the company’s jazz-first room.12

The kitchen is led by chef G.A. Murdock, previously of Social Cabaret’s Waldo Supper Club, and the menu is built around shareable small plates with international turns: panela carrots under parsley pesto, polenta frites, tandoori-marinated fried wings with raita, a charcuterie board, and two composed desserts. Beyond à la carte service the venue sells three packaged evenings — a Cabaret Thursday admission, a “Dinner and a Show” seating, and an all-inclusive “No Brainer Night Out.”342
