Cleo Club is a dim, plush, cat-themed cocktail bar in the Crossroads that leans on classic, approachable drinks rather than esoteric mixology.

Description

Cleo Club is a small cocktail bar in the Crossroads Arts District at 2000 Grand Boulevard, opened in 2026 by Rockhill Restaurant Group1. The room is intentionally low-lit and plush, seating a modest crowd, and the drink program is deliberately restrained — Kansas City Star coverage frames it as “affordable and approachable,” with food-and-beverage director Clark Grant declining to put “anything too esoteric” on the menu1. The name references Cleopatra and the long tradition of naming large cats after her1. A separate whiskey menu is offered alongside the cocktail list2.

Ownership and history

Cleo Club is operated by the leadership of Rockhill Restaurant Group — Zach Marten, Bret Springs, and food-and-beverage director Clark Grant — who had been using the space as an informal satellite dining room for the group’s nearby restaurants before deciding to convert it into a standalone bar for guests waiting for tables1. The build-out took roughly six months1. The group also operates Rockhill Grille and two other Kansas City restaurants; further ownership history and formation date of the group.

The site publishes drink and whiskey menus as separate PDFs; specific cocktail names, ingredients, and prices are pending direct menu capture. Kansas City Star coverage confirms the program is intentionally “simple but quality,” classic-leaning rather than experimental1. Food menu (if any).
