Description

Horsefeather Social is Loews KC’s seventh-floor outdoor program: cushioned seating, fire features, an open event lawn (cornhole and lawn games), craft cocktails, and bar bites with one of downtown’s best sightlines to the Kauffman Center. The Kauffman Center treats Loews as a preferred hotel partner and promotes the terrace for that view specifically.2

The namesake cocktail is explained on the official site as a Midwest classic derived from the Horse’s Neck: rye whiskey, ginger beer, Angostura bitters, lemon juice (variations with ginger ale, cherries, or lime).1

Seasonality: Outdoor-only. Prior seasons closed mid/late autumn (e.g. Oct 26 noted for a prior season) and reopen each spring. 2026 reopen Friday May 8, weather permitting.2

Ownership and history

Part of Loews Kansas City Hotel (opened 2020), a property of Loews Hotels & Co. (national). Sister hotel dining on the property includes The Stilwell, Bar Stilwell, 1587 Prime (Patrick Mahomes / Travis Kelce partnership steakhouse), and Red Wheat Baking Co..3
