Description
Ladybird Taqueria occupies a first-floor kitchen stall inside Parlor, the multi-level East Crossroads food hall at 1707 Locust St.1 Parlor describes the concept as founded by Danielle Lee Goldberg, “inspired by the culinary scene in Austin, Texas,” bringing “an elevated take on Tex-Mex classics” with “a commitment to sourcing local ingredients and fostering collaboration.”1
The menu is short and taco-led, sold in mix-and-match twos and threes. The composed tacos lean on layered garnishes rather than a single protein: candied garlic carnitas with charred onion and orange sauce and an au jus dip; chipotle carne asada with salsa macha, avocado and cilantro; a vegetarian queso frito taco of fried queso fresco with guacamole, pickled serranos and onions; blackened shrimp with honey-chipotle cabbage and poblano slaw under crispy tajín-dusted onions; a vegetarian manchego potato taco of whipped potato and Spanish manchego stuffed into a corn tortilla and fried; and pollo sabroso, lime–honey–chipotle marinated grilled chicken in smoky tomato purée.1 Snacks are a chips-and-salsa trio (smoky tomato salsa, elote, cilantro ranch), chips and guac, and nachos built on steak, chicken or carnitas.1 Dessert is chocolate-filled churros with dulce de leche and a frozen horchata.1
Ladybird shares the building with Parlor’s other resident kitchens — as of 2026-08-13, Elephant Wings, Mother Clucker, Providence Pizza, Sido’s, Slideshow Sliders and The Laos House.2 Parlor has long been a launch pad for independent Kansas City operators; tings-filipino-bistro and the now-departed khalias-pizzeria both started as Parlor kitchens.
Ownership and history
Parlor’s own kitchen page names Danielle Lee Goldberg as the founder and describes her as an entrepreneur drawing on Austin’s food scene.1 No press profile, business filing, or first-party interview establishing her Kansas City residency, prior restaurant work, or ownership structure was located in this research pass. “ — owner watchlist: the founder attribution rests on a single (venue first-party) source.
The opening date is not established. The Parlor kitchen page for Ladybird was first captured by the Internet Archive on 2023-09-28, which sets a floor: the kitchen was on Parlor’s roster by late September 2023.3 That is a floor, not an opening date. “

Pricing
Confirmed absence of a recoverable first-party price list (checked 2026-08-13). Checked: the Parlor kitchen page (publishes item names and full descriptions, no prices); Parlor’s homepage and site navigation (no price list); the business’s own Toast storefront at order.toasttab.com/online/lady-bird-taqueria-1707-locust-street and the mirror at toasttab.com/local/order/lady-bird-taqueria-1707-locust-street (both return HTTP 403 to direct fetching — Cloudflare interstitial — and neither renders); the Internet Archive CDX index for both Toast URLs (no captures exist); Parlor’s own “take-out” and “delivery” ordering links, which resolve to parlorkc.menu, a DoorDash-operated tableside ordering front end (HTTP 404 at the linked paths, and a third-party ordering platform in any case). No standalone Ladybird domain was located. Aggregator listings (Yelp, Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Giftly and similar) were not used for prices. No prices are stated on this page.
