Larks is a shuffleboard-led entertainment venue, bar and full-service restaurant at 1527 W 9th St in the West Bottoms Flats, Kansas City MO. It runs 10 shuffleboard courts — six indoors, four on the patio — plus the “Larkade” arcade, a rentable event space, and a scratch kitchen. It opened in September 2024 (announced open Sept 11, 2024) as the second location of a concept founded in Fairview, Texas, and is one of two Larks rooms currently operating (the other in Cleveland, OH), with seven more announced. Description

Larks is eatertainment built around shuffleboard rather than bowling or pickleball. Ten courts — six inside, four on the patio — rent by the hour at $30/hour, capacity ten players per court, walk-ins accepted alongside reservations; court availability is reduced on league nights (Mondays and Tuesdays, 6:00–7:30pm), when KC Crew runs shuffleboard, cornhole and darts leagues out of the room. Beyond the courts the venue runs the Larkade, described first-party as a hybrid of vintage cabinets and modern high-tech games, and Game of 1000 Boxes, a live game-show format for up to 24 players in teams of four. An event space is rentable for private groups.2136

The kitchen is a full one rather than a concession counter — a priced, itemized menu of pizzas, burgers, salads, shareables and tacos (see Menu). Reservations run through SevenRooms; online ordering runs through Toast.71

Ownership and history

Larks is not a Kansas City–founded brand. Theno told KCTV5 the KC kitchen would add local items not on the Texas menu — “we’re going to be adding things to the menu that they don’t have in Texas” — naming a “real big tenderloin”; a Pork Tenderloin Sandwich ($17) does appear on the current first-party menu.37

The venue targeted an early-September 2024 opening around the Chiefs home opener and posted “we’re officially open” on Sept 11, 2024. As of this pass the corporate site lists two open locations — Kansas City and Cleveland, OH — with Pullman WA, Nashville, San Antonio, San Diego, St. Petersburg, Boston and Atlanta listed as coming soon.354
