Le Donuts is a classic-case shop (glazed, long johns with choice of filling) plus boba and other drinks, positioned as a new Waldo and Raytown alternative to longer-tenured counters like Doughboys.1 Joyce Smith (KC Star / KCinsiders) posted a May 2025 opening notice for the Waldo storefront at 8017 State Line, 1,620 square feet, former Rainbow China, in the Rae’s shopping center; a follow-up “quick look” confirmed it open.2

An Instagram real-estate post (Block & Company) said the Waldo space was leased by Phil Peck and David M. Block — those are the landlords / brokers, not evidence they operate the donut shop. Do not list them as owners.3

Yelp’s Waldo listing was active in August 2026 (hours starting 5 a.m.; phone 763-744-8621). The 763 area code is unusual for KC; do not infer an out-of-state owner from the area code alone.4

Ownership and history

Waldo opening: announced for May 19, 2025; Facebook business video dated May 5, 2025 said “grand opening soon.” Raytown address is treated as the other operating shop in the 2026 Mom Collective list; which shop opened first is not settled in sources opened this pass.21
