Spice of Bombay is a family-run North Indian kitchen and bar in the Shops at Corporate Woods, opened in late 2024 by husband-and-wife team Kiran Kaur and Andy Singh, drawing on family recipes carried from a Columbia, Missouri Indian restaurant and Waldo’s Taj Mahal.
Description
Spice of Bombay is a North Indian restaurant that opened in late November 2024 at 9940 College Blvd in the Shops at Corporate Woods in Overland Park.12 Owners Kiran Kaur and Andy Singh, a couple in their early 30s, together bring more than 20 years of restaurant experience through family businesses — Kaur’s father operates an Indian restaurant in Columbia, Missouri, and Singh’s family owns Taj Mahal Authentic Cuisine of India in Waldo.1 The dining room combines traditional copper tableware with a modern setting, and the kitchen offers an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet alongside a full evening menu.12
Ownership and history
Owned and operated by Kiran Kaur and Andy Singh. The couple signed the College Boulevard lease and spent several months remodeling the former space before opening in November 2024.1 Their signature dishes draw directly on family recipes: garlic cheese naan is credited to Kaur’s father’s Columbia restaurant, and other menu items reflect Singh’s family’s decades of experience running Taj Mahal in Waldo.12
