The Dressing Room at Heddi Monro is a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge hidden behind a curtain inside the Heddi Monro women’s boutique at 7900 Conser St, Suite 20, downtown Overland Park (InterUrban Art House building). Co-created by friends Christa Johnson (ops) and Meghan Dudek (design / Benson Method); bar program by James Williams. Description

Guests enter through the boutique, answer a lipstick-mirror trivia question keyed to iconic women on the wall, and pass a blush curtain into a plum-and-cream lounge designed by Dudek’s Benson Method studio. Cocktails carry names like The Matriarch, She’s the Boss, The It Girl, Lady Bird, and Power Hour; the program pairs classic builds with zero-proof options and a spirits list spotlighting women-led brands, including local Mean Mule and Café Corazón.214

Ownership and history

Christa Johnson and Meghan Dudek (longtime friends) created the dual concept; Johnson runs day-to-day operations. The suite was converted from a former IT office.2 JoCo Post covered the May 2026 open framing as a feminine-focused speakeasy celebrating women.3 Independent — not a chain speakeasy brand.
