Description

The Fold is the Crossroads restaurant that Amanda Accurso and Brandon Sharp opened on May 22, 2026 in the former home of Corvino Supper Club & Tasting Room — one of the most significant spaces in Kansas City’s recent restaurant history. Corvino closed on January 1, 2026 after nearly a decade in the Crossroads; by May, Accurso and Sharp had moved in with their new concept at Corrigan Station’s 1828 Walnut Street. The pair bring the DNA of their Lee’s Summit restaurant Roots Seasonal Cuisine to the Crossroads, with bar manager Todd Richards rounding out the team. The Fold’s positioning is deliberate: fine dining in a space with no dress code, designed to build community across different dining audiences. Owner Richards put it plainly: “While we are going to be really thoughtful about our food, our main goal is to build a stronger sense of community.” Amanda Accurso’s restaurant background runs deep in Kansas City — she served as Director of Operations at Joe’s Kansas City before Roots, trained at Marina 27, and earned degrees from Baker University, JCCC, UMKC, and KU. The Fold occupies 6,072 square feet one block east of the KC Streetcar at 19th and Main.
