Tian Tea House (天茶屋 / Tiān Chá Wū) is a contemporary Asian slow tea house at 911 E 5th St in Columbus Park — the daytime identity of the same room that becomes Moon Bar at night. Co-owned by Saranya Hubbard and Zachary Hubbard; soft-opened late December 2025 with official opening January 6, 2026. Dine-in focused premium loose-leaf service. Tier 2 (same ownership geography as Moon Bar).123

Description

Tian is a calm, dine-in tea room on Fifth Street in Columbus Park — premium loose-leaf teas (white, green, oolong, red/black, house blends, Japanese matcha and hojicha, Thai teas), staff-guided selection by caffeine and flavor, and small bites rotating from local makers (e.g. gimbap from Kimchi and Bap; black sesame cookies). Press emphasizes “slow tea”: sit with a pot rather than grab-and-go paper cups.123

The space is the former barber shop renovated for the dual Tian / Moon Bar project. Across the street sits Café Cà Phê, which has also carried some of Hubbard’s teas.1

Ownership and history

Saranya Hubbard (creative lead; Thai Chinese heritage; former Head Bartender at Ku Bar, Bangkok) and husband Zachary Hubbard developed the dual concept after years of Moon Bar pop-ups. Tian opened first while the liquor license for the evening bar was pending; Moon Bar later opened permanently (May 27, 2026 per moon-bar page).14

Teas are sourced with direct producer relationships in Thailand and China, which Hubbard attributes in part to language and heritage ties.1
