Westwood Hills, Kansas is a city of 400 people (2020 census) on only 0.07 square miles in northeast Johnson County — the densest city in the Kansas City metro by some census comparisons (about 6,240 people per square mile).1 Developer J. C. Nichols platted the subdivision and began construction in 1922; the city borders Kansas City, Missouri, and sits next to the larger city of Westwood.1
