Description
The Lee’s Summit shop is a full-day bakery-cafe with drive-thru: donuts and pastries plus breakfast and lunch sandwiches and espresso drinks, with the full menu (including donuts) sold until close.1 First-party menu boards posted July–August 2026 are image files on the location page — prices exist first-party but were not transcribed this pass (menu_status: partial).1
Kansas City Business Journal placed the shop near Langsford Road and Todd George Parkway and named Terry Green CEO and majority owner of Baxter’s and the parent company.2
Ownership and history
Temp-Stop, LLC is a Lee’s Summit convenience-store operator formed March 13, 1998, when Terry Green, Tim Green, and equity partner Jerry Bain bought Gerken Oil’s retail stores. Terry now holds 82% and Tim 18% after buying Bain out in October 2001. Terry was born in Independence, graduated Central Missouri State (Finance) in 1989, and is president and managing member.3
For about two decades Temp-Stop bought donuts from local suppliers for its c-stores. In late 2022 it launched the Baxter’s retail mark to bake in-house. CSP Daily News (June 2023) said the 4,000-square-foot Lee’s Summit shop was built to produce 8,000–10,000 donuts per day and also supplied seven area Temp-Stop stores; by June 2023 Temp-Stop ran two Baxter’s shops.4 A February 2025 CSP item said Temp-Stop then had four local Baxter’s, “debuted in late 2022.”5 Grain Valley has a separate Facebook page.
