Jungalow is a tropical tiki bar at 4117 Mill Street in southwest Westport, opened in 2024 as part of the multi-venue “Horseshoe” entertainment district run by Allred Management — the local hospitality group behind the Westport Bars portfolio.

Description

Jungalow is a tropical tiki-themed bar located at 4117 Mill Street in the southwest corner of the Westport neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri.1 The venue brands itself as a “secluded hideaway where jungle vibes meet tiki spirits,” serving made-to-order tropical cocktails built around premium spirits and exotic flavors in a heavily decorated, Instagram-forward setting.12 It occupies the lower level beneath Westport Landing, in a space that several years prior had been a Panera location.23

Jungalow opened in 2024 as part of a broad expansion of new Westport nightlife venues developed by the same operator.3 As of mid-2026 the bar is listed with public operating hours of Thursday through Sunday evenings (commonly 7:00–8:00 PM until 3:00 AM), and recent customer reviews describe a lively tiki atmosphere with strong cocktails.24

The bar is one node in an interconnected cluster of adjacent venues — marketed collectively as the “Horseshoe” district — that share a single hospitality operator and allow patrons to move between venues without re-checking ID.5

Ownership and history

Jungalow is operated by Allred Management, a Midwest hospitality, construction, and real estate company whose owner is Brett Allred.46 Allred Management runs the Westport Bars portfolio, a collection of clustered Westport (and additional Kansas City–area) venues that includes Westport Landing, The Patio, Bar & Rec, Q Kansas City, Lotus, The Horseshoe, and Uncle Jim’s Pool Hall, among roughly 15 properties.56

Jungalow was conceived as a tiki concept within Allred’s southwest-Westport development push. In pre-opening coverage Allred described the goal as making the space “very vibey and Instagram-worthy,” and confirmed the location had previously been a Panera.3 The venue is a built-from-scratch new concept rather than a rebrand of a prior bar, and it opened in 2024.23
