Limitless Brewing is Lenexa’s first brewery — a community-focused, family-owned craft beer maker founded in 2018 by the Mobley family, now operating from a purpose-built taproom at 9500 Dice Lane.
Description
Limitless Brewing is an independent, family-owned craft brewery and taproom in Lenexa, Kansas, billed as the city’s first brewery.1 The brewery operates under the tagline “Beer-centered, community-focused,” outfitting its taproom with communal tables intended to encourage strangers to sit together over a glass of beer.2 Its production philosophy is to “make what people want to drink,” brewing across a wide range of styles based on customer preference.3 The brewery is known for innovative releases including a Jamaican rum barrel-aged barleywine and its crowd-favorite hazy IPA “JoCo Juice,” described as resembling orange juice when poured.4 The taproom hosts events year-round — yoga sessions, running clubs, volunteer opportunities, live music, and weekend food trucks — and is open 365 days a year.5
Ownership and history
Limitless Brewing was founded by the Mobley family — Emily Mobley, her husband Dave Mobley, Dave’s brother Steve Mobley, and Darin Worthington — and first opened as a microbrewery and taphouse at 9765 Widmer Road in Lenexa in November 2018, making it Lenexa’s first brewery.6 The founders were inspired to start their own brewery after spending a year touring breweries across the country and blogging about their experiences.6
As the operation outgrew its original Widmer Road space, the owners built a new, larger facility. In April 2021 they announced plans for a purpose-built 4,500-square-foot brewery, taproom, and patio at 95th Street and Dice Lane.7 The new taproom at 9500 Dice Lane opened December 10, 2022, allowing the brewery to ramp up production and its canning operation.4 Dave and Emily Mobley are the current proprietors.3

Disputes
None at this time. Note: the original 2018 location was 9765 Widmer Road; the business relocated to the current 9500 Dice Lane facility in December 2022 — historical addresses are not a dispute, only a relocation.
