Description

Ownership and history

Los Gallitos is owned and operated by Nereyda Torres, for whom opening her own restaurant was a longtime dream.³ Before launching Los Gallitos entirely on her own, Torres had experience running other restaurants and being part of other ownership groups.³ The restaurant occupies the space at 6508 Martway St. in the Mission West Shopping Center that was formerly home to Salsa Grill Cantina, a local favorite that operated there for roughly two decades before closing earlier in 2023.³⁴ Los Gallitos officially opened on November 27, 2023, with daily specials and happy hours beginning December 6, 2023.³ Signature dishes at opening included fish tacos and parrilladas, a shareable plate for two featuring assorted meats, vegetables, and sides.³
