Description
Slideshow Sliders occupies a second-floor kitchen stall inside Parlor, the multi-level East Crossroads food hall at 1707 Locust St.1 Parlor’s kitchen page frames the concept as “big and bold flavors that come in small packages from a menu carefully crafted by Chef Danielle Lee and her staff,” built around mix-and-match smash burgers “in a range of classic and adventurous styles, from BBQ bacon to Fig & Goat Cheese,” plus “small-but-mighty sandwiches with pulled pork, Korean Sloppy Joes, and more” and a range of topped fries.1
The menu runs ten sliders. Eight are smashed-beef builds — the OG (American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, burger sauce), the Popper Burger (herb cream cheese, roasted jalapeño, bacon, sweet Thai chili), the Steakhouse (fried onions, A-1 mayo, smoked gouda, arugula, tomato), BBQ Bacon, the Truffle Mushroom, the Fig & Goat Cheese, the Southwest, and a Korean Sloppy Joe of ground beef with Korean-inspired garlic sauce, smoked chili mayo, green onion and kimchi. Two are non-beef: Hawaiian Pulled Pork with island BBQ sauce and grilled pineapple, and a vegetarian Southern Caprese of fried green tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil, roasted red pepper and balsamic mayo.1 Sides are five fry builds — crispy, truffle, pulled pork, Korean BBQ and OG — plus fresh beverages and Parlor soda.1
The brand is not native to Kansas City. Slideshow began as a food truck in 2013 and opened its first permanent location inside the Edgewater Public Market outside Denver on 2019-11-16; that market’s merchant page describes it as “a queer woman-owned business.”2 The company’s own website, slideshowsliders.com, presents Edgewater and Parlor KCMO side by side as its two locations, with one shared email address and Colorado phone numbers, and links each to its own Toast ordering storefront.3 The site’s lead sentence still describes Slideshow only as “located in Edgewater, Colorado,” and it misstates the Kansas City ZIP code as 64112; Parlor’s own page gives 64108, which is correct for 1707 Locust St.13
Slideshow shares the Parlor building with the hall’s other resident kitchens — as of 2026-08-13, Elephant Wings, ladybird-taqueria, Mother Clucker, Providence Pizza, Sido’s, The Laos House and the Parlor Bar.1
Ownership and history
No individual owner has been sourced. Two first-party threads exist and they do not resolve into one another:
- Parlor’s own kitchen page credits the Slideshow menu to “Chef Danielle Lee and her staff.”1 Parlor credits the same name — as Danielle Lee Goldberg — as the founder of its Ladybird Taqueria kitchen.4 Two Parlor kitchens carrying the same chef attribution is consistent with an in-house culinary operation rather than an arm’s-length tenant.
- The Edgewater Public Market’s merchant page for Slideshow describes a business that predates the Kansas City stall by six years — a 2013 food truck that took an Edgewater stall in 2019 — and calls it queer woman-owned, without naming the owner.2 Slideshow’s own domain markets both locations as one business.3
No business filing, lease record, press profile or first-party statement establishing which entity operates the Parlor stall was located in this research pass. The specialty/house-brand tag is applied provisionally and as an inference only, pending documentation; it should be removed if a tenant relationship is documented.
The Kansas City opening date is not established. Parlor’s kitchen page for Slideshow was first captured by the Internet Archive on 2022-05-20, which sets a floor: the kitchen was on Parlor’s roster by that date.5 That is a floor, not an opening date. “
No Kansas City press coverage of Slideshow Sliders was located.

Pricing
Confirmed absence of a recoverable first-party price list (checked 2026-08-13). Checked: the Parlor kitchen page (publishes item names and full descriptions, no prices); the business’s own domain slideshowsliders.com (its Edgewater and Parlor “menu” sections contain no item prices — they route to Toast); the business’s own Toast storefronts at order.toasttab.com/online/sideshow-sliders-parlor-1707-locust-street and www.toasttab.com/sideshow-sliders-parlor-1707-locust-street/v3/, both of which return an HTTP 403 Cloudflare challenge to direct fetching and do not render6; the Internet Archive CDX index for all three Toast URL forms, which holds no captures7; and Parlor’s take-out and delivery links, which resolve to parlorkc.menu, a DoorDash-operated tableside ordering front end and therefore excluded as a price source in any case. Aggregator listings (Yelp, Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Roadtrippers and similar) were not used for prices. No prices are stated on this page.

Disputes
The relationship between the Kansas City stall and the Colorado business is unresolved — see “Ownership and history.” Name spelling varies between the venue page and brand site (“Slideshow”) and the Toast storefronts (“Sideshow”); recorded as an alias, not a dispute.
