Toni’s Italian Restaurant is an independent Italian family restaurant opened in Shawnee in December 2024 by Toni Curri and Mario Maloku — a family of longtime Italian restaurateurs who previously owned Napoli’s Italian Restaurant in Tulsa, OK. Their Olathe flagship (the original KC-metro location, opened 2018) closed in March 2025 due to the I-35 reconstruction project; the Shawnee location at 22716 Midland Dr is now the sole KC-metro location.

Toni’s Italian Restaurant is Toni Curri and Mario Maloku’s family-operated Italian concept in Shawnee — a family with roots in Italian restaurant ownership going back to Napoli’s Italian Restaurant in Tulsa, OK. They opened their first KC-metro location in Olathe in 2018. When the I-35 reconstruction project made the Olathe location untenable, they closed it in March 2025 and now operate solely from the Shawnee location at 22716 Midland Dr, opened December 2024.
