Luis Araujo intentionally designed the restaurant’s limited hours (“I wanted to be able to attend school activities and pick up the children from school from school”); when Luis and Judy eventually left to plant a church in northwest Indiana, Ashlee and Carlee stepped up to keep the restaurant running. The menu is built on Judy Araujo’s home cooking — Ashlee describes it as “honestly what my mom always fed us at home” — with homemade taco shells, house salsas, fresh-cut meats, and tamales available on select days.
