Ownership and history
Local Foundery opened April 6, 2019 at 307 SW Market Street in downtown Lee’s Summit, owned by Dave Eames and Ben Wine. The shop’s premise is to showcase “the new and old” — antique finds beside newly made goods — sourced and, in many cases, built locally through their connected Fossil Forge makerspace.1
Lee’s Summit City Lifestyle records that Eames and Wine moved the shop from Market Street to a more prominent spot at 15 3rd Street in the fall of 2021 (“closed and moved in within four days”). The article prints “15 SW 3rd Street”; the Downtown Lee’s Summit directory listing walked 2026-08-26 prints 15 Southeast 3rd Street. First-party directory spelling is preferred for the current pin; the SW/SE difference is logged, not silently resolved.23
Current operator after the founding pair is ****. A February 2025 Link 2 Lee’s Summit podcast writeup names Brian Pilachowski of Press Monkey Studio as “the new owner”; that page 429’d on fetch 2026-08-26 and is not used to overwrite the infobox. What is first-party: localfoundery.com now serves Press Monkey Studio LLC (Pleasant Hill graphic/print studio), not a Foundery storefront — the same domain-trap noted in the 2026-07-17 backfill, re-checked 2026-08-26.5

None — maker-goods and vintage retail only. Walked the first-party surfaces that exist (no working own-domain storefront) on 2026-08-26:

lschamber.com/local_foundery/is Cloudflare 403 (“Just a moment…”) from this pass. Wayback captures through 2026-03-08 still serve the 9 April 2019 article: furniture, prints, leather goods, jewelry, gifts, stationery, apparel, décor; many items built at Fossil Forge; no café, no food counter, no priced drinks list.1 - Own domain —
localfoundery.com/www.localfoundery.comresolve and redirect to Press Monkey Studio LLC (pressmonkeystudio.com, Pleasant Hill web/print studio). Not a Foundery café, cart, or menu. Same trap as the 2026-07-17 backfill; re-confirmed 2026-08-26.5 - Facebook — https://www.facebook.com/localfoundery/ is the shop’s only official channel. Curl and mbasic both loginwall (HTTP 400 / login). Not used for prices or a food claim.
Trap — 2019 patio “coffee or cocktails” quote is not a café. The chamber feature quotes Dave Eames on a hoped-for front patio: “We hope people will enjoy coffee or cocktails out here with spring and summer weather.” That is a hangout vision for Fourth Fridays, not a published food-and-drink menu, and no later first-party page walked here stands up a café, wine bar, or refreshment counter.1
Aggregator reviews that mention a pizza truck at the 15 SE 3rd address are excluded (not first-party; likely a downtown event vendor, not Foundery food service). Do not import.
