Turath Coffee is Waseem and Loai Nasser’s Arabic-style café in Overland Park — opened in March 2026 at 9916 College Blvd, the only Arabic coffee shop in the Overland Park market. Loai Nasser (confirmed as Palestinian by the KC Star) and his brother Waseem co-founded the concept alongside sisters Sarah and Sawsan Awwad; Sarah Awwad, a UMKC business and finance junior, designed both the menu and the décor. The concept replicates the café culture of West Asia: drinks built on dates, cardamom, figs, baklava, and knafeh rather than the standard coffee-shop template.
