Description

Flame Grill & Mediterranean Bakery is the Bataineh family’s Jordanian Mediterranean restaurant and bakery — opened in May 2025 in the Kansas City Northland at 8154 NW Prairie View Road, taking over the space of a former BBQ and Kebab restaurant. Founder Kholoud Albataineh is the baker at the heart of the concept: fresh-baked pita, baklava made with salted garlic ghee, and a full Jordanian Mediterranean menu including chicken shawarma slow-roasted on a vertical rotisserie, falafel, and lamb chops. The Bataineh family also operates Queen Sweets & Mediterranean Grill elsewhere in the KC metro, making Flame Grill their second KC venture. The Northland has a growing Middle Eastern community and limited dedicated Mediterranean dining; Flame Grill fills that gap with family recipes and fresh in-house baking.
